Update waiting game

Picked up my 2024 Traverse in September last year with Android Automotive OS version 14. I've Been watching updates but I'm hitting a brick wall. GM Support had no answers when I called and my dealership wasn't any better. No info, no timeline, just shrugs all around.

Version 15 is already out and Google will soon launch version 16. Other brands have moved forward but GM seems stuck. Has anyone heard anything new?

Hey there! Yeah, you're not alone in that. I've been bugging my local dealership, too. I just noticed that in the past couple of years, GM's really been lagging behind on Android Automotive OS updates.

As of now, the 2024 Traverse is still on version 14. But I'm pretty sure I heard the others like Volvo are already rolling out version 15.

The answer I got from my dealer was that GM hasn't provided a timeline yet. And I heard that there are still bugs on the updates. So maybe hold out a little longer?
