Malfunctioning seats on the 3rd row

The back seats malfunctioning, i cant lower down the seats. Took it to the dealer but they're Not sure when the part will be available since it's currently on back order. Could it be available anywhere else, please advise those who had the same issue. Please help

@bingo27 this back-order situation really sounds like a waiting game turned endurance challenge but have you checked with parts suppliers online because sometimes they mysteriously have these elusive items ready while dealers are scratching their heads but honestly if it's a widespread issue then maybe it's time to go full DIY mode and either hunt for alternative fixes or find a way to keep those seats down in the meantime because let's face it having permanently upright seats is like asking your car to start an avant-garde furniture collection. what do you think?

How are they not sure when the part will be available? That's toooo annoying! I mean they should be able to give you at least a date estimate? You tried checking with salvage yards already or if that specific dealer can give like a temporary fix? It's not your problem IT"S THEIRS. They should look into this more.

Agree with this one. If they don't help then maybe you can even file a case. Kidding (or not...). Check also if there are parts from auto salvage yards! they're gonna have it at good cost

if they don't have the parts now, I'm sure you can purchase it somewhere else and ask the dealer to install them. just make sure the parts are compatible with your car, ask them first for the exact parts (also the serial number) they need for the car

It will help to ask the dealer for the specific part number, that way you can cross-reference far more easily
